This was my version of the air tight Ammo stove. The box I had was pretty small in comparison to others I’d seen.
It was fun to build but the fire wouldn’t last for more than a half hour. I was hoping for a longer burn time.
The bolt on the front (left) of the stove was connected to the ash scraper. For air intake you pushed the bolt in which would opened the rear door.
I wonder if having the air inlet coming from the rear of the stove near the exhaust could have impeded the burn of the wood? I should have did more testing.
Here is the ash clean out scraper fully extended. This part of the stove I liked.
