Two in one lawn mower

At the last place I lived I had a field of grass with lots of black berries surrounding the boarders. I wanted a unit that could tackle the blackberry and cut grass without gouging the ground.

Above was my first idea. I was hoping the dish would keep the cutting head from bobbing up and down as it traveled across the uneven ground.

The ‘sled’ above was another attempt. It worked but it was tiring due to the friction from the sled sliding on the ground.

The third design worked out quite well. The mount was simply welded to the vertical cutting head tube.

The knob on the cross bar adjusted the height of the mower. The wheels and front axle could also slide off

for brush cutting.
